A new puppy is a 15-year commitment. Pittwater Animal Hospital has been running Puppy School for over 20 years. We have a large dedicated Puppy School Facility with indoor and outdoor space. Our small class format gives very individualized guidance on how to communicate with your new puppy. Individual sessions can also be arranged and we now have Teenage Classes for the older puppies.

There are a range of accommodation options for every budget. Bookings are made online though our Cat Hotel Portal and full refunds are available if you cancel your holiday. Come for a tour. Pittwater Animal Hospital often has cats and kittens available for adoption. These pets have been health checked, vaccinated, desexed and registered as part of the one off fee. Kittens will need to return for their final vaccination and desexing. Adoption animals then get 10% off vaccinations and 5% off stays at Pittwater Vets Cat Hotel for life.

Part of keeping your pet healthy and happy is to have regular veterinary examinations and keep up to date with vaccination courses.

When your pet is unwell, the first thing to do is book an appointment with your veterinarian. If further care is needed we have the team to help.

If you have an emergency and we are open, come down straight away. If you are unsure if it is an emergency call reception and we can advise what to do.

Veterinary care has advanced significantly over the years. With advancement comes increased cost. Pet insurance should be considered in all new puppies and kittens

The Northern Beaches is a high risk tick paralysis area. Thankfully prevention has improved markedly over the last decade. Sadly some animals still die of tick paralysis.

Often our pets are healthy but they have difficult behaviours that make general interactions difficult. Pittwater Animal Hospital can help with behavioural advice.

Having a new puppy is an exciting thing. Pittwater Animal Hospital has so much to offer you from a free health check, puppy school and lots of advice.

Skin irritation, sore ears and anal gland problems can be very difficult to manage. Your vet can guide you on how to help with these difficult problems

The veterinarians at Pittwater Animal Hospital start monitoring your pet’s dental health from the very first visit. We try to make dental care easy.

We have just completed the four week puppy school training and I can’t recommend it enough. Louise the trainer is knowledgeable, experienced, warm hearted and clearly LOVES dogs! She makes the... training interesting for both the puppy and the owners and seems to have the answers to all manner of puppy “problems”.....sleeping through the night, toilet training, chewing, to name a few. She has sensible advice and strategies and explains things very clearly so as not to overwhelm either the puppy or owner! We are looking forward to the introduction of a teenage course for our puppy and will definitely be back for more. A wonderful service. Thank you Louise and Pittwater Animal Hospital. Our family has been clients of this practice for over 40 years, taking 9 dogs to them over those years. Service and care has been exceptional as the owners and staff are the ones looking after our... pets. As we approach the vet, every dog we have owned immediately becomes animated and excited to be visiting a friend and happy place. When it has been time to say goodbye to one of our doggy family, a staff member has visited our home and in the company of the entire family has allowed us to participate in this sad event.
