Hugo is surprised by a fish hook
Hugo is a 9 month old boxer who lives on the waterfront. It is a fabulous place to live but full of surprises.
Last week Hugo came in with a shiny fish hook hanging from his lower lip. Ouch! It was completely embedded. With a barb on the hook there was no way to pull it out. 
Hugo was seen by Dr Juliet. He was given a heavy sedation to examine his lip but even touching the fish hook under sedation was painful.
Hugo was given a full anaesthetic and Dr Juliet quickly cut off the end of the hook. pushed the hook all the way through the lip, (which was quite tough), then pulled the hook out.
In a few hours Hugo was off home ready to explore the waterfront all over again. Let’s hope he is not hooked up again.
