Lionel’s unsuccessful trip to the dog park.
Lionel loves to go to the dog park. He is a three year old gentle giant who weighs…….50kg.
One night he was so excited to go to the dog park that when jumping into the ute he ended up catching his skin. It happened in a moment, and Lionel received a significant laceration on his back. Ouch! He arrived at Pittwater Animal Hospital just on 6pm and needed a full general anaesthetic, clean up and wound suture.
Everything went very well. His blood tests were normal, his anaesthetic was stable and the wound came together very well.
No dog park for Lionel tonight but he will get home for a good nights sleep. After a week of sitting around, Lionel should be fine to go to the park in the back of the ute…very carefully.
