Ringtail Possum Babies
These little ringtail babies arrived at Pittwater Animal Hospital when their mother was brought in dead from a dog attack. 
It is very important that the possum babies are old enough to live through fostering. Each was well haired and weighed about 80 grams which dates them as around 3 months old. They should thrive in foster care. 
Once examined, we tried to encourage them into a knitted possum pouch. After a little while they adjusted and were ready to be picked up by WIRES.
