PAH would like to introduce Dr Alana O’Connor as a new veterinarian.
Prior to attaining her Veterinary Science degree at the University of Queensland in 2022, Alana studied 2 years of Wildlife Science. When not at university, Alana worked as a dog groomer, veterinary nurse and tutored first year vet students for the university. Alana was also involved in extra-curricular activities at the university, where she had presidency roles in the wildlife and marine veterinary special interest groups. During her final year of veterinary school, Alana completed placements at a variety of different clinics, including SeaWorld and RSPCA wildlife hospital to further explore her interest in wildlife and exotic animals.
Alana will be refining her medical and surgical skills under the mentorship of our team of highly experienced veterinarians. We welcome her as a valuable member of the PAH team.
