Meet Abbi – Our Head Veterinary Nurse

Abbi’s journey with Pittwater Animal Hospital began in 2019, when she trained as a veterinary nurse with our team. She subsequently moved to Northside Emergency Veterinary Service (NEVS), where she gained invaluable experience in emergency and critical care nursing, further developing her clinical skills and confidence in managing complex and challenging cases.

After taking a few years away from veterinary nursing to explore a completely different career in the nails and beauty industry, Abbi has returned to Pittwater Animal Hospital as our Head Veterinary Nurse. She brings with her a wealth of experience, a mature and practical approach to hospital management, and a genuine commitment to providing the highest standard of care to our patients.

Working closely with our senior nurses, Genevieve and Cara, Abbi has helped create a caring, supportive and efficient working environment for both our experienced nurses and those still developing their skills. Her calm leadership, organisational abilities and approachable nature make her a valued member of our large Pittwater Animal Hospital team. We are absolutely delighted to welcome Abbi back!

Fun Fact: Abbi has a particular soft spot for brachycephalic (squishy-faced) dogs! From French Bulldogs to Pugs and British Bulldogs, she’s a big fan of their quirky personalities and irresistible faces.
