Gus is happier after his arthritis injections
This is Gus. He is a 16 year old Burmilla.
Gus has been a diabetic for a few years and his loving owner gives him insulin injections twice daily. His owner is in her 90s and does a fabulous job.
Gus now comes in to PAH each month for an injection to reduce arthritic pain. It has made an enormous difference to Gus’s quality of life. (Previous treatments for arthritic pain caused unacceptable side effects.)
Gus is much more active after the injection but at about the four week mark he stops moving around so much and starts to become a little grumpy. Gus is very lucky to have such a wonderful owner to care for him.
