Itchy, yeasty ears.

Warm weather can mean itchy, yeasty ears.
Little Stella the Schnoodle often gets itchy ears. When the skin around the ear canal becomes red she needs to be seen at the vet.
With all this hot humid weather she now has an over growth of yeast called Malassezia in her ear canals.
Stella’s ears were cleaned and a long-acting treatment applied. She also had a cytopoint injection for her generally itchy skin. Within a few days Stella was feeling much better but will be a good candidate for a long term ear plan.
