Puppy Training and Behaviour Support
At Pittwater Animal Hospital, we believe early training is the foundation for a well-mannered, confident, and happy dog. We work with trusted local trainers who offer different approaches so you can choose the style that best suits your puppy and your family.
Puppy School with Veronica’s Canine Concepts
Since early 2023, Pittwater Animal Hospital has partnered with Veronica’s Canine Concepts to run Puppy School in our purpose-built training yard and indoor space.
Veronica uses positive reinforcement and food-based training, focusing on building trust and clear communication between you and your puppy. Her classes are gentle, fun, and highly effective — and she’s well known for her patient, kind approach on the Northern Beaches.
She also offers in-home behaviour consultations, which are ideal for issues like toilet training, separation anxiety, reactivity, or settling into a new home.
Behaviour Training with K9 Connection
For dogs that need clearer boundaries or owners who prefer a non-food-based training style, we recommend Lisa and Kat from K9 Connection.
Their approach is firm but fair, with a focus on structure, consistency, and respectful leadership. They have extensive experience helping dogs with reactivity, anxiety, pulling on the lead, and general manners — especially those that have outgrown puppy school or need a more tailored approach.
K9 Connection offers training in your home or in real-world environments around the Northern Beaches.
