Our cats, kittens and rabbits available are all displayed on our Facebook page.
If you are interested in viewing one of our pets for adoption, you need to make an appointment. We do not adopt kittens to multi-cat households.
Adoption and viewing times are shown on our booking link. Please select 1 cat or rabbit and under clinician select Adoption/Training room and yard.
Kitten and cat adoption frequently asked questions.
Pittwater Animal Hospital acts as the holding centre for stray animals for Northern Beaches Council (Pittwater area). We often have kittens, adult cats and rabbits up for adoption and sometimes have dogs. Pittwater Animal Hospital does not accept surrendered animals except through Northern Beaches Council.
Animal rehoming is part of our community service on the Northern Beaches (along with our free care of wildlife and discounted bills for people with disabilities). All animals have had a full health check, microchip placement and up-to-date vaccinations, flea/tick and worming treatments. The adoption animals are either already desexed by us or return for desexing all within the small adoption fee.
Stray animals are kept for at least 7 days before adoption is possible. Sometimes they are kept for months until a home is found. Feeding and caring for the animals is a big undertaking.
All pets rehomed from Pittwater Animal Hospital receive a lifetime 10% discount on their annual health check and vaccinations plus 5% off any stay at the PITTWATER VETS CAT HOTEL. We become very attached to these pets and love to see them back.
