Keep calm
Try to settle your pet and get it into the car. Often wrapping your pet in a thick towel or blanket is a safe secure transport method. A cat cage will be even more secure.
Have someone else drive so you can concentrate on your pet.
Remember to take your wallet and phone.
Ring PAH on 99137979 or telephone NEVS on 94522933 when you are on your way, especially if your pet is difficult to move. The nurses may be able to come out with a stretcher when you arrive.
If your animal is having difficulty breathing try to keep it calm and perhaps stretch out its neck.
Drive carefully.
