Little Bird blown off course
Every year we get migrating shearwaters commonly called mutton birds brought in from the coast. This little bird was something different. Dr Juliet used all her identification skills to decide it was a Fluttering Shearwater.
Fluttering Shearwaters are natives of New Zealand but sometimes the juveniles venture further afield.
Hopefully with some TLC and fluids it will be able to be released.
