Teeny Tiny Tick Troubles
This is little Indie. He was out on a walk and was suddenly irritated by his back foot.
Stopping, licking, crying…stopping, licking, crying.
Indie’s owner came in and said Indie had a tiny little dot in between his pads. Could it be a tick?
It took Dr Jill quite some time to even see the tiny little dot. Then it took significantly more time using our antique magnifiers and tweezers to remove the teeny, tiny dot.
But Indie’s owner was correct. It was a tick and Indie felt much better when it was removed.
These little nymph ticks can be sore and itchy but rarely cause any paralysis signs. Great spotting by Indie’s owners. An interesting challenge.
